If you want to avoid losing important documents, your favorite songs or other files, you should copy them into a backup folder. Sometimes, you may receive something important and forget to back it up. While using specialized software for this purpose, human error is not a factor, so you can be sure that your data will be copied to a safe location. Besides synchronizing any data, between different locations, Sync Now! Professional will make sure that your folders will stay identical at all times. It includes a good number of functions, which are both useful and easy to understand.

There are no special requirements to meet before installing Sync Now! Professional. Unless you are a Windows 95 user, compatibility will not be an issue. The software is quite modest when it comes to system requirements, so you can run it without any problems, regardless of your hardware.

Sync Now! Professional lets you work with task groups. Each task will synchronize one or more folders, in one or both directions. You may create any number of tasks and save the group as a file on the hard drive. This is not something new, but it can be very useful. If you are working on multiple projects, during which you need to back up your files constantly, you may save different task groups and load them when needed.

Tasks are configured on a separate window, where the options are organized in a tree structure. Besides folders, you may also synchronize files or synchronize a folder to a ZIP file. The program supports different synchronization methods, so your needs will be satisfied. It is possible to update only your target folder and delete its obsolete files, if you want to, or make the target folder identical to the source. Sync Now! Professional also provides smart and expanded bi-directional synchronization methods, which copy modified files from the source to the target and vice versa.

Before executing a task, you can preview it on a separate window. The software will display the contents of both folders, side by side. Depending on the synchronization method, the program will mark any differences, such as modified files or files which are present in one folder, but not the other. The synchronization process is fast and when it is complete, you may access a detailed log, in plain text format.

It is also possible to schedule any synchronization task. You can set Sync Now! Professional to execute a task automatically, every day, week or month, every few minutes, or once, at a specific time and date. Real time synchronization is also a possibility. If activated, the program will synchronize your files immediately after adding or modifying them in one of the folders. The scheduler runs independently. Its options are found on a different window and if you close the main program, the scheduler will still work, in the system tray.
